INFORMATION, GUIDELINES AND CONDITIONS OF OCCUPANCY & ENTRY

Office & Kiosk :

  • Open from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm daily, phone 07 5488 6662

Arrival & Departure :

  • On arrival, check in at the Kiosk (anytime between 8am and 5pm) and you will be issued with a camping tag which must be displayed at your campsite for your stay.
  • Checkout on the day of your departure is by 11am.
  • There are no day visitors allowed at the campgrounds.
  • Regular checks are made during the day to ensure compliance.

Unpowered Sites :

  • With the aim of maintaining a natural setting, we do not have defined campsites.
  • Please use common sense and be respectful to other guests when choosing your site.
  • If you are unsure, please ask one of the park staff at the kiosk to help locate a campsite before setting up.

Powered Sites :

  • We provide 1 x 10amp or 15amp outlet per powered site
  • All powered sites are for the use of basic caravan appliances including A/C, fridge, lighting etc.
  • Please limit the number of appliances brought to the park especially during busy periods.

Yabba Creek & Lake Borumba :

  • Yabba Creek is located adjacent to the campgrounds and is not on our property but easily accessible
  • Lake Borumba is located 800m from the campgrounds
  • The use of the creek and Lake Borumba is entirely at your own risk.

Children :

  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times
  • Whilst our main goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for everyone, we do not provide childcare services, this remains the sole responsibility of each child’s parents.

Amenities :

  • We have hot showers and toilets for guests.
  • Access codes are available from the Kiosk.
  • Open 24 hours except cleaning times.
  • If attention is needed please inform the kiosk.

Fires :

  • Small open fires are permitted only in firepits provided. You are also welcome to bring your own firepit to the park.
  • Any QFRS enforced fire bans must be respected and adhered to.
  • Firewood is available at the Kiosk.
  • Coals must be disposed of in the designated bins only.
  • Fires must never be left unattended.

Camp Kitchen :

  • Please consider others and clean up after use.
  • Do not leave any cooking unattended whilst using the Camp Kitchen.
  • Any appliances left unattended while cooking will be turned off and food discarded.
  • If unsure how to use appliances, please ask one of the park staff.

Rubbish :

  • Guests are encouraged to separate their rubbish. General waste bins are for land fill items only.
  • Recyclable items to be separated are glass, plastic bottles and containers, aluminium cans, newspapers and cardboard and they should be placed in the appropriately marked bins or areas.
  • Keeping our campgrounds and our world clean is important to us.

Wildlife, Flora & Fauna :

  • Anyone seen to be deliberately harming any animals in the park will be instructed to leave the park immediately.
  • Native flora is for the enjoyment of all. Do not remove or cut down.

Vehicle Speed Limits :

  • Speed limit of 5km/hour must not be exceeded. All internal roads are shared zones for pedestrians, bicycles and cars/trucks/vans etc to use.

Noise :

  • These campgrounds offer a family friendly environment.  Our guests are here to enjoy the tranquil environment. For the comfort of all guests, we have a policy of no loud noise after 9pm.
  • Generators and chainsaws are not permitted
  • Amplified music and whip cracking are not permitted

Kayaks :

  • Kayaks are available for use free of charge.
  • Please see the Kiosk to sign for kayaks.
  • Use of free kayaks is at your own risk.

Drones :

Privacy :

  • Please respect everyone’s privacy and belongings.
  • Do not walk through other campers campsites.

Security Advice :

  • While the park staff do their best to ensure a safe and secure environment, we do recommend that visitors to the park take the precaution of securing items of value left outside their tent, car, caravan or cabin during the day and overnight.

Pets :

  • No pets allowed: The areas around Lake Borumba are home to an abundance of native wildlife. To protect this wildlife, and for public safety, domestic pets and other animals cannot be brought into any of the catchment, lake or recreation areas at Lake Borumba.  Unfortunately, this includes the campgrounds. This is an SEQ Water requirement.

Falling Tree Limbs :

  • Be aware that tree limbs can fall, management of Lake Borumba Caravan and Campgrounds take no responsibility for damage or injury caused by falling tree limbs. Camping is at your risk.

Alcohol Consumption and Disorderly Behaviour :

  • A zero-tolerance policy applies for drunken, illicit drug use, disorderly, abusive or aggressive behaviour. The local authorities may be contacted in the event these behaviours are witnessed.
  • All laws and regulations relating to alcohol and drug consumption apply. An express note is made of the following points within these laws: 0.05 breath test if operating a motor vehicle on the premises, drinking age of over 18 years, sale in any form without a license is prohibited, consumption of alcohol by minors is prohibited, consumption of illicit drugs is prohibited.
  • Management reserve the right to ask any person that breach these points of law to leave the premises or be collected from the premises immediately.

Cancellation / Credits / Change / Refund Policy :

  • No refunds if customer changes their mind on arrival or departure dates.
  • No refunds due to weather unless the campgrounds have been closed.
  • Should the campgrounds be closed by us (eg due to flooding) we will offer you the option of refund or to rebook for a future date
  • No refunds or credit will be given if you have been instructed to leave due to non-compliance of the park Terms and Conditions.
  • For any cancellations, a credit for future booking will be provided. All cancellation credits expire within 12 months of cancellation.
  • Please ensure you rebook your stay within the 12-month period to avoid disappointment.
  • All cancellations and/or refund requests must be provided in writing to bookings@camporumba.com.au and must include your booking id

General :

  • Entry to Lake Borumba Caravan and Campgrounds and use of the facilities is at your own risk. At all times and in the interest of safety, the above conditions of entry must be adhered to.
  • Lake Borumba Caravan and Campgrounds and its Proprietors accept no responsibility to persons utilising the equipment and facilities. Persons utilising such facilities do so at their own risk and under no circumstances shall the Proprietors be liable to any person for any loss, damage or injury of whatsoever relating to use of equipment or facilities.
